Is that the video about how Hitler is bad but Stalin is just misunderstood >DW>
IMHO, the only difference betwee Hitler, Stalin, and Mao were their
political beliefs. They were all totalitarian, genocidal monsters.
Prager U is a conservative 'university', so I'm certain they had their head on straight about Stalin.
It frustrates me to see that people are blind to Stalin and Mao's horrific crimes and then point out "THAT WASN'T REAL COMMUNISM!" to anyone who marks Stalin or Mao as the monsters they were. If that's not real communism, I don't even want to know what is - especially since I hate how my party has been hijacked by some of them for god knows what reason.
Yeah, I like to challenge them to point out what is real communism. They usually land on "but we could do it the right way." Yeah, just from listening to some of their rethoric over the recent past years, I do not think they could. Individuals rights are less than those of the collective in communism, so it is impossible to have without conflict as those rights are taken away.
A completely classless, collective system would be bery hard to create ona huge scale. People are different. All people would have to be brought in und er one culture they all work for and buy into the same ideas. People who
have genetic dispositions to stand out or be active or less active will have to most likely be plucked from the gene pool. I still find it hard that a person who spends extra time in a university to become a surgeon or physicist would relate on the same level and accept the same treatment as a common laborer with minimal education. Could the drive for the "common good"
overcome such a difference? You'll still have variety of work, from agricultural, blue collar industrial, white collar professional, and a technical class that services them all. How do you blur that line in a classless system?

The ONLY way I could see it happeneing and having ANY chance of working would be if the group was raised from children in that type of political environment so that they have never experienced any other way.
I also have a problem when people tend to lump Communism and Socialism together like they are the same thing. Communism is a political entity, whereas Socialism is an ECONOMIC ideal. Don;'t forget that you Democratic Solcilism as well just like many of the European countries and even Canada operate under.
A lot of the people who lumps communism and socialism together are the communists themselves, actually. They insist that democratic socialist parties are betrayers and the communist parties are the only real socialist parties.
