I could make a snide remark on that, but discretion is the better part of valor. :)

Sometimes ya just gotta hit paws.

On one of the ham radio traffic nets I do, two of the hams have Corgis...
and both give the nets "a four paws up rating". <G>

At least my nets haven't gone to the dogs.

Especially when Net Control has to BARK at those who won't follow net protocol.

I know of one ham who will key up and call CQ, without asking if the frequency is already in use.

Patience a virtue, and a lot of ham radio operators don't have that... especially considering they are trying to make their quota of ham radio
    net checkins for that day.

Well basically anybody can get a license because they removed requirements and made the test easy.

i know several bbs people that barely function that got their ham license.

I always knew Big HAM was working behind the scenes to push for more checkins.

    for more checkins.

One can't be fashionably late for a ham radio net. I'll give folks
plenty of time to checkin, but there is a similar setup that I myself
and other net control station uses when checkins dry up.

    1) Auctioneer Mode -- going once, going twice, sold, close the checkins
    and the net.

    2) Baseball Mode -- 3 strikes, and the net is closed.

Many nets meet at the same day and time, so you have to decide which
net(s) you want to check into.

I once missed my checkin because my equipment was broken. I had to order
a new battery pack for my handheld.

Of course it's company policy never to, imply ownership in the event of a dildo... always use the indefinite article a dildo, never your dildo.

Those batteries, whether for handheld radios or cellphones, fail at
