Are any of you concerned about this? I work at a large intl company
where we have offices in US, UK, DE, Italy, China, Poland... People are always coming/going from these locations.
Nope. It's nothing more than the flu. Take the same precautions. If things get worse, just like the flu, go see your doctor.
Last week I was in Orlando at Disney when it dawned on me that probably wasn't wise... and next month, I have WWE Wrestlemania tickets with my
son and dad in Tampa, FL.
If your son and/or dad have compromised immune systems, they should stay home. Otherwise, take the usual precautions you would during flu season.
I would like to think the media is hyping this up to try and make Trump look like he can't handle it, and that the Flu is actually more
dangerous, but then who knows what those crazy asians were doing in the first place. We don't do travel bans for the flu.
It is mostly hype. I notice that they don't post the number of flu deaths - which is probably higher than COVID-19.
Remember, the vast majority of people who have died from COVID-19 have had compromised immune systems (i.e. the sick and elderly). The countries hit "hardest" also have a larger percentage of the population who are elderly.
About the only extra precaution I'd take right now is not visit Grandma in the nursing home for a bit and not go visit my buddy in the hospital until he's better.
... A short cut is the longest distance between two points.
