    Interesting. I used to use UUCP in the 90s as a matter of necessity, but it worked well. I was running UUPC on my DOS end of the link. I never got around to setting up UUCP on *NIX systems. It had pretty much been phased out around my by the time I would have been ready to look into that.

    Anyone remember ! addressing for e-mail back in the day?

    I remember that there were some people I could only e-mail by using the
    "bang" path, while others I had to use the now-standard id@site addressing.
    My recollection is that folks that only had bitnet addresses were slightly different still.
