I have a mac, but I'm not running Synchronet on it. The VM I'm using to run bbs.synchro.net on Win7-32 is under Microsoft's Hyper-V (on
Win10).

1. To test Synchronet on Win7
2. To test Synchronet on a 32-bit Windows OS
3. To run 16-bit DOS doors under NTVDM
The host OS is Win10-64.

I've used Oracle VM Virtualbox on my Win10-64 but I don't have a valid win7 activation key so I keep an old win7 ultimate 32bit PC
running
so I can fart around with the old (ancient; archaic; obsolete) Turbo Pascal 7 and host 16 bit doors more easily (since I am so lazy n
such
:)

but if youre running windows why the vm?
1. To test Synchronet on Win7does win 10 run sbbs fluidly or is there a few hiccups i should be aware of before i get my msp?
2. To test Synchronet on a 32-bit Windows OS
3. To run 16-bit DOS doors under NTVDM

No offense, Brah, but as DM said in reason 1. to test Synchronet ....
Nothing is perfect, nor is any project complete ....
Why not just pick an OS, install SBBS on it, and try it out ... because, if you wait until the Program is Completed, then, updates will
no
longer be available! :-)
My doctor said I have the body of a 25 year old ... and the mind of a 10 :-/
unfortunately ios doesn't run sbbs so i am waiting for the fall to purchase msp.
