    I am trying to create a fail2ban setup to ban telnet connections that just sit there and never login but I am not finding where the telnet log would be running synchronet 3.21 on ubuntu

    what i did was write a script where every ip that connects gets banned until they validate with my code. then they are white listed.
    still doesnt help. unlimited supply of bots and scanners.
