It was a made up number. Your question was vague and I had no idea what you were talking about. If you mean 'megabytes', then say it.
Even then, the size varies depending on what you're talking about. I have a mostly uncustomized installation of Synchronet on a Windows VM here and it takes up about 45 MB. My real BBS is taking up 7.5 GB on disk space, but that includes a bunch of data that isn't part of a base install. A test instance on a Linux machine here (including source) eats up around 460 MB.
Basically there's no one useful number, and even then it doesn't really matter given how much storage space is available to us today. A base install of Synchronet on Windows could take up 1000 times more space than it does today and still not be a problem for anyone - and it's unlikely to swell that much anytime soon.
